[Grammar] -(으)ㄹ 줄 알아요/몰라요 : can/can’t

 -(으)ㄹ 줄 알(다)/모르(다) means ‘ability’; it can be translated ‘can/can’t’ or ‘know how to do/ don’t know how to do’.  (모르다 : 르 irregular).   ‘줄’  here is pronounced as [쭐].

Verb(ends with a consonant) +  줄 알아요/몰라요
Verb(ends with a vowel or ) + 줄 알아요/몰라요

For example,

(다) + 줄 알아요 / 몰라요

(다) + 줄 알아요 / 몰라요
수영(다) + 줄 알아요 / 몰라요
(다) + 줄 알아요 / 몰라요
(When ㄹfinal consonant meets -(으)ㄹ, -(으)ㄹ drop.)
